Photos, cover and gallery
How to add the main page photo and business photos, change their order and framing, hide or delete them, and what the gallery looks like to clients.
Updated
Photos are the first thing clients see at the top of your page. There's a gallery there: one large main photo with a few smaller ones beside it. Clicking it lets the client browse all photos.
Where to find it
Open “Page” → “Photos and top gallery”. The screen has two parts:
- “Main photo / cover” — the page's main photo;
- “Business photos” — the rest of the gallery: interior, your work, the atmosphere.
Before-and-after pairs are added separately — see Before / after.
Main photo
- In the “Main photo / cover” block, click “Upload photo”.
- Choose a JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC file up to 5 MB.
While the file uploads, the button shows “Uploading…”. Then click “Save” below the block — the new photo appears on the page only once it's saved. It becomes the first and largest photo in the gallery, and it's also used as the preview image when someone shares a link to your page in messengers or on social media.
A landscape photo with the key subject in the centre works best: in the gallery it fills the frame, so the edges may be cropped.
To remove the main photo, click “Remove cover” and then “Save”.
Business photos
- Click the “Upload business photos” block.
- Choose one or more files — up to 12 at a time, each up to 8 MB.
- The photos appear in the “Business photos” list and on your page right away.
Each photo card has these settings:
- “Display” — “Fill the frame” (the photo fills the frame, edges may be cropped) or “Show in full” (the whole photo is visible, there may be empty margins);
- “Focus” — “Top”, “Center” or “Bottom”: which part of the photo stays in view when it's cropped;
- “Photo” with an “Upload” button — to replace the image without changing its place in the list;
- “Service” and “Specialist” — optional: what the photo shows and whose work it is. They become the caption under the photo in the gallery viewer;
- “Visible” — untick it to hide the photo from the page without deleting it.
After changing a card, click “Save” in that same card.
Photo order
- Drag a photo by its number (01, 02…) to the position you want.
- Click “Save order”. “Order saved” appears.
If you see “The order could not be saved. Refresh the page and try again.” instead, the page keeps the previous order.
The button is active when the list has at least two photos.
Deleting
- Click “Delete” at the top of the photo card.
- Confirm in the “Delete this photo from the gallery?” dialog.
What the client sees
- At the top of the page — the main photo in large format and up to five smaller photos beside it. If there are more, the last one shows how many are left, for example “+4”.
- If there's no main photo, the first business photo becomes the large one.
- Clicking the gallery (“All photos”) opens a viewer with all photos. If there's both a main photo and business photos, they're split into the “Venue” tab (main photo) and the “Works” tab (business photos).
- If a photo has “Service” or “Specialist” filled in, the viewer (both the “All photos” grid and the full-size view) shows a caption under it, for example “Haircut · Olena Koval”. Photos without them have no caption.
- Hidden photos aren't shown to clients.
YEMISCE automatically scales every uploaded photo down to 1,600 pixels on the longer side and saves it as JPEG, so there's no need to compress photos yourself.
FAQ
I get “The file is too large. Choose a photo under … MB.”
The photo is over the size limit: 5 MB for the main photo, 8 MB for business photos. Make the photo smaller and try again.
I get “Unsupported image format. Try JPEG, PNG or an iPhone photo (HEIC).”
The file is in an unsupported format. Save the photo as JPG or PNG and try again.
I get a “could not save the photo” error.
A temporary error happened while saving. Try again a little later.
I want to upload more than 12 photos.
If you pick more than 12 files at once, you'll see “Too many files at once: up to 12.” Upload the photos in several batches of up to 12.
I get “Photo uploads are available with an active subscription.”

What are the “Service” and “Specialist” fields in a photo card for?
They caption the photo: in the gallery viewer the client sees “Service · Specialist” under the photo and knows which service to book and with whom. You can fill in just one of them — then the caption shows only that one. Before / after pairs are captioned the same way.
I changed “Display”, but nothing changed on the page.
Card settings are saved with the “Save” button in that same card, not with “Save order”. Click “Save” and reload your public page.
