A published opening appears at the top of your page, and clients on the waitlist and those who agreed to come earlier get an offer to book. It is most useful when someone cancels on the day of the visit.
How to turn it on
- Open “Settings” → “Booking”, the “Open slots” block.
- Turn on “Allow “open today””.
- Choose what happens after cancellations with “Publish freed time automatically” (see below).
- Click “Save”.
The feature is on by default. If you turn it off, no drafts are created, published openings disappear from the page, and “Free openings” shows ““Open today” is switched off. Turn it on in booking settings.”
When a booking for today is cancelled
When a booking for today that has not started yet is cancelled (by you or the client), YEMISCE prepares an opening. For a group session this only happens once every participant has cancelled.
What happens next depends on “Publish freed time automatically”.
Option on. The opening appears on your page immediately and matched clients get an offer. You don't need to do anything.
Option off (the default). A draft appears in “Free openings”. You and the specialist whose booking was cancelled (if they have a cabinet) get a notification about the freed time with a link to that section. Clients cannot see the draft until you publish it.
Which time and service YEMISCE suggests
The opening covers the free gap the cancelled booking was in and starts at the earliest bookable time: the start of the gap plus any preparation time, or, if the gap has already begun, the next quarter hour. YEMISCE picks the service itself: the most expensive one this specialist performs that fits the freed time completely without an awkward leftover. If none fits, it suggests the same service as the cancelled booking. The draft card explains the choice.
The “Free openings” section
Open “Free openings” in the left menu. It only shows openings for today that have not started yet.
Drafts
A draft card shows the time, service, duration, specialist and why this service was chosen. Below:
- “Another service” — other services that fit this time. Pick one and click “Apply”.
- “Matched clients” — how many people will get the offer, and the first names, marked “waitlist” or “booked this service before”.
- “Publish and notify” — the opening goes on your page and clients get the offer. YEMISCE asks: “Send the offer to matched clients: N?”.
- “Publish without notifications” — the opening goes on your page, but nothing is sent.
- “Dismiss” — the draft disappears and nothing is published.
With more than 20 matched clients you will see a warning that some of them may get a paid SMS if they have no push or Telegram connected.
Published openings
The “Published today” block lists openings currently shown on your page. Each has:
- “Stories image” — a ready-made vertical image for Instagram Stories with your business photo, the “🔥 Open today” heading, the service, the time and your page address. You can “Download” it, and on a phone also “Share” it. Only the owner sees this button, and only while the business has active YEMISCE access.
- “Unpublish” — the opening disappears from the page. Offers already sent are not recalled.
When a client books the opening (same service, specialist and time), it moves to “Filled today”.
Publishing any free time today
You can publish an opening without a cancellation, from the calendar:
- Open “Bookings” and switch the calendar to “List” view for today.
- Next to a free gap, click “Open today”.
- In the “Choose a service for this window” dialog, pick a service. The list only has services the specialist performs that fit into the gap.
- Keep or untick “Notify matched clients (waitlist and clients who agreed to an earlier time)”. It is ticked by default.
- Click “Publish”.
The opening starts at the beginning of the free gap. After publishing you will see “The opening is published. Clients notified: N.” or “The opening is published on your business page.”, and the list shows an “Open today: service name” row with a “Cancel” button that unpublishes it.
Who gets notified
YEMISCE picks two kinds of clients:
- those on the waitlist for this service with the status “Waiting”, if their preferred date and time fit (and, if the client chose a specialist, only for that specialist's time). No separate consent is needed from them: a waitlist request already means the client is waiting for such a time;
- those who have booked this service before and agreed to earlier-time offers — they ticked “Notify me if an earlier time opens” when booking and haven't turned this consent off. See Offer a client an earlier time.
At most 50 clients at a time. The offer arrives through the client's notification channels and includes a link to your page.
What the client sees
Published openings (up to four) take over the block at the top of your page: the “Open today” badge, a “Next at …” heading, the service and specialist, time buttons and “Book →”. The client taps a time and the normal booking form opens with that time already selected.
An opening disappears from the page when someone takes it, when its time passes, when you unpublish it, or when a time block or an event in the specialist's Google Calendar covers that time.
FAQ
Does this work for tomorrow?
No, only for today. For other days use the waitlist or offer the time to a client with a later booking.
No draft appeared after a cancellation.
Check that the booking was for today and had not started, that “Allow “open today”” is on and that the business has active YEMISCE access. Rescheduled bookings don't create drafts — only cancelled ones do.
“Matched clients: 0”. Is it worth publishing?
Yes. The opening still appears at the top of your page and everyone who visits will see it.
After “Publish” I see “This time is already busy or unavailable.”
The time was taken while you were choosing, it is covered by a time block or an event in the specialist's Google Calendar, or the chosen service would leave an unsellable gap behind it. Refresh the page and try another service.
Can a specialist publish openings themselves?
Yes, for their own time. To publish a draft, a specialist needs the “Edit own working schedule” permission. See Staff permissions.
