This article walks through the client's path from the first screen to the confirmation, so you know exactly what they see and which settings affect it.
Where a client starts
Your page has several ways into booking:
- The block at the top of the page. Under your business name, the page shows the nearest free times for your first service: a “Next available time” badge (or “Open today” if the time is today), a few time buttons and a “Book →” button. If you have published an opening for today, this block shows those openings instead — see “Open today”.
- The services section. Each service shows its price, duration and a “Book” button.
- The specialists section. A specialist's card opens a choice of their services, and the date and time line under the card jumps straight to their next free time.
The page only shows services that are active and have “Show in online booking” ticked — see Services: creating and editing.
How booking works
- The client clicks “Book” next to a service. An “Online booking” window opens with the service name, duration and price.
- If several specialists perform the service, a “Choose a specialist” screen appears. The client can pick a person or “First available” to see the nearest free times across the whole team.
- In “Choose date” the client opens a calendar. Days with no free time are greyed out.
- Under “Choose a time” the client taps a time. For group sessions each time shows the number of free places, for example “5 free”.
- The client enters “Your name”, “Phone” and, optionally, an email.
- In “Booking reminders” they choose when to be reminded (“1 hour before”, “2 hours before”, “6 hours before” or “24 hours before”; “24 hours before” is preselected) and the channel: Telegram, Push, Email or SMS (Telegram and Push only if they are on in “Settings” → “Notifications” → “Channels”, SMS only if you have connected an SMS provider). See How notifications work.
- They answer any extra questions you have set up and tick the privacy policy consent.
- They click “Book” and confirm: “Confirm this booking time?”.
The page only offers times that are genuinely free: it takes into account the specialist's schedule, business hours, other bookings, blocked time, Google Calendar events and the rules in “Settings” → “Booking”. How these rules narrow the choice is explained in Online booking settings and Gaps between bookings.
What else the form may include
- “Notify me if an earlier time opens” — if “Ask clients if they want an earlier time” is on. The tick only turns the consent on: if the client has given it before, a new booking without the tick doesn’t remove it. The client can turn it off in “My bookings”. See Offer a client an earlier time.
- “Repeat weekly” — if “Recurring bookings” is on: the client books a series of sessions at once. See Recurring bookings.
- A “Verify phone” button — if the number has to be confirmed with an SMS code.
- “Booked before?” with the link “Log in to avoid entering your details again” — the client can log in and their name and contacts are filled in automatically.
What the client sees after booking
A “You're booked” screen opens with the date, time, service, specialist and address (or meeting format for online services). Above the details is your post-booking message or the default one: “Thank you for booking. Your appointment details have been sent through your selected channel.” You can change this text in “Settings” → “Booking”.
From here the client can open their cabinet with “Go to Client Cabinet” or go back to your page. In the cabinet they can change when to be reminded about the visit — see My bookings. The booking notification includes a link where they can view, cancel or reschedule the booking — see Client cancellation and rescheduling.
The booking appears in your calendar straight away with the status “Confirmed”.
FAQ
The client sees “Online booking is temporarily disabled. Contact the business directly.”
“Accept online bookings” is switched off in “Settings” → “Booking”. Turn it on and click “Save”.
The client sees “Unfortunately, there are no available times.”
There is no free time for this service within the booking window. For causes and what to check, see Why a client can't see free time.
After clicking “Book” the client sees “This time is already booked. Choose another slot.”
Someone else took that time while the client was filling in the form. They need to pick another time.
The client sees “Check the phone number - it looks invalid.”
The number contains a typo. The client should check the digits or enter the number with the country code.
The client sees “This business is currently unavailable for viewing and new bookings.”
Your page does not accept bookings while the business has no active YEMISCE access. Check your subscription in “Settings” — see Subscription payment.
Does a client need an account to book?
No. A name and contact details are enough. The “My bookings” cabinet is handy but optional — see Client cabinet login.
