Instead of leaving, the client submits a request: which service they want and when suits them. When a place opens up, you know whom to offer it to.
How to turn it on
One switch controls the waitlist: “Settings” → “Booking”, the “Open slots” block → “Waitlist”. It is on by default. While it is on, the “No convenient time?” block appears on your page by itself — you don't need to turn anything on in “Page”. See Page sections.
If the switch is off, the “Waitlist” section shows “The waitlist is turned off. Turn it on in booking settings so clients can join it.” and an “Open booking settings” button.
What the client sees
Your business page has a “No convenient time?” → “Join the waitlist” link, and under the time picker in the booking form there is “No convenient time? Join the waitlist”.
In the “Waitlist” form the client:
- Chooses a service, if it isn't selected already.
- Optionally fills in “Date from” and “Date to”, “Time from” and “Time to”. Empty fields mean any day or time.
- Enters their name, phone and, optionally, an email.
- Agrees to the privacy policy and clicks “Join waitlist”.
The client then sees “Thank you! We will contact you if a suitable time appears.”, and you get a notification about the new request — it opens the “Waitlist” section. If you require phone verification by SMS code, it applies here too.
How the waitlist looks for the client is covered in Waitlist for clients.
Requests in your cabinet
Open “Waitlist” in the left menu. Each request shows:
- the client's name and status;
- the service, phone and email;
- the preferred dates — from and to (or “Any day”) — and time range (or “Any time”);
- the specialist, if the client chose one on the page before joining the waitlist.
Statuses
- “Waiting” — a new request nobody has worked on yet.
- “Contacted” — you have messaged or called the client.
- “Booked” — the client has been booked.
- “Cancelled” — the request is no longer relevant.
To change the status, click “Contacted”, “Booked” or “Cancelled” next to the request. The button for the current status is inactive. Once a request is no longer “Waiting”, it also has a “Back to “Waiting”” button — for example, if you marked it “Booked” by mistake. Requests are sorted by status — “Waiting” first, then “Contacted”, “Booked” and “Cancelled” — and newest first within each status.
How the waitlist helps fill time
- Freed time in the calendar. The “Fill” panel has a “Waitlist” block — requests with the status “Waiting” for the same service whose date, time and specialist fit. The “Fill” button creates a booking right away and marks the request “Booked”. See Freed-up time: how to fill it.
- “Open today”. When you publish an opening with notifications, clients on the waitlist for that service with the status “Waiting” get the offer if their request fits the opening. No separate earlier-time consent is needed — the request itself means the client is waiting for a free time. See “Open today”.
