Changing the business country
How to change your business country in settings, why after the first successful subscription payment it can only be done through a request, and how the business country differs from the country in your billing details.

If your business has moved or the country was set incorrectly, you can change it in settings. As long as there has been no successful subscription payment, the change is immediate. After the first successful payment it goes through a request that the YEMISCE team reviews.
Business country and subscription market are different things
- “Business country” (“Settings” → “Business”) — the country where you serve clients. Among other things, it determines which client phone numbers YEMISCE treats as local.
- “Subscription Market” (“Settings” → “Billing details”) — determines your subscription price. It is set by the “Registration country” in your payer details.
During onboarding both values are the same, but after that they change independently. Changing the business country does not change your subscription price. The subscription market changes together with the registration country in your billing details — on your own before the first payment, and through a separate request after it. See Billing details.
Changing the country before any payment
- Open “Settings” → “Business”.
- In the “Business country” field, choose the new country.
- If needed, also change “Default currency” and “Business time zone” — they do not change together with the country.
- Click “Save”. You will see “Saved”.
The new currency applies to new services; existing bookings and payments keep their currency. Changing the time zone does not move existing bookings.
Changing the country after the first payment
As soon as the business's first subscription payment goes through, the “Business country” field becomes read-only. Below it you will see: “Once paid billing history begins, the business country cannot be changed directly. If the business moved or the data needs correction, submit a change request.” A failed or unfinished payment attempt does not lock anything.
To submit a request:
- Open “Settings” → “Business” and click “Request country change”.
- On the “Business country change” page, choose the new country in “Requested country”.
- In “Reason for change”, briefly explain what happened, for example: “The business moved to Poland.” The reason is required — between 2 and 1000 characters.
- Click “Submit request”. You will see “Request submitted”.
Request status
The same page has a “Status” block about your latest request: the “Requested country”, the “Submitted” date and, if there is one, the team’s “Review comment”.
- “Pending” — the request is waiting for a decision. While it is pending you cannot submit another one, and in Business settings “Request country change” is replaced by “View request”.
- “Approved” — your business country has been changed.
- “Rejected” — the country stays the same. See the “Review comment” for the reason. You can submit a new request if needed.
Approving a request changes only the business country. Your subscription market, price and payer details stay as they are. This request is separate from the request to change the registration country in your billing details: you can have one pending request of each kind at the same time.
FAQ
I see “Check the country and provide a reason for the change.”
No country was selected or “Reason for change” is empty. Fill in both fields.
I see “An active request has already been submitted.”
You already have a “Pending” request. Wait for the decision.
The “Business country change” page says “The country can still be changed directly in Business settings.” and there is no form.
There has been no successful subscription payment yet, so no request is needed. Change the country in “Settings” → “Business”.
I moved and now need to pay the price for another country. What should I do?
The price is set by the subscription market, not the business country. If there have been no payments yet, change the “Registration country” in your billing details. If you have already paid, click “Request a country change” in “Settings” → “Billing details” — once approved, the registration country, subscription market and price of next payments change. See Billing details.
Will I be notified of the decision?
The decision appears on the “Business country change” page. Check the status there.
