An owner can't delete a business instantly: the client base, booking history and page go with it, and that can't be undone. So deletion works through a request that the YEMISCE team reviews manually.

Before you submit a request

We also recommend that you:
  • let clients with upcoming bookings know, and cancel those bookings — the request does not cancel them for you, see Cancelling a booking as the business;
  • agree with clients on any unused sessions in their packages;
  • tell your team members that the business cabinet will stop working.

How to submit a request

  1. Open “Settings” → “Data & privacy”. The “Account settings” item in the account menu opens the same screen.
  2. Find the “Business account deletion” block. Below its description there is a reminder that business data is also deleted automatically if access to YEMISCE ended and was not renewed for 3 months (see below).
  3. If anything is still open, a “Pending obligations” block appears above the form. It is for information only and does not stop you from submitting.
  4. In the “Reason for deletion” field, briefly explain why you are deleting the business (2 to 1000 characters).
  5. Click “Submit request”.
You will see “Request submitted.”

What the “Pending obligations” block shows

  • “Upcoming bookings: …” — the number of future bookings that haven't been cancelled;
  • “Active paid subscription” — the business has a paid subscription, including one waiting for a renewal payment. The free trial doesn't count;
  • “Service packages with unused visits: …” — the number of session packages that are still valid (not cancelled and not expired) and have visits left.

While the request is under review

Instead of the form, you see a “Deletion request submitted” block with the submission date, the status “Pending” and the line “We will email you the decision.” You can't submit a second request while the first one is pending.
While the request is being reviewed, the business works as usual: the page accepts bookings and the cabinet is available.

How to withdraw the request

While the request has the status “Pending”, you can withdraw it:
  1. In the “Deletion request submitted” block, click “Withdraw request”.
  2. Confirm in the window “Withdraw the deletion request? The business will keep working as it does now.”
You will see “The request was withdrawn. The business keeps working as before.”, and the request status changes to “Withdrawn”. The form appears again below the block — you can submit a new request later if needed.

What happens after approval

The YEMISCE team emails you the decision at your account email — “Deletion request for “business name” approved”, with the date the data will be permanently deleted.
  1. The business is deactivated right away. The public page shows “Page temporarily unavailable” and new bookings are no longer possible.
  2. The data is kept for 3 more months. This is the retention period set out in section 8.1 of the Privacy Policy: until the date in the email you can ask support for a data export (see Cookies and legal documents).
  3. As soon as the 3 months are over, the business data is deleted automatically: services, team, bookings, client base, page content, photos and so on. Your owner account data is anonymised.
You can see the result in “Settings” → “Data & privacy”: the “Deletion request submitted” block shows the status “Approved - business deactivated” and the date in the line “The business data will be deleted automatically on: …”. Once the data is deleted, it's replaced by “The business data has been deleted: …”. If the YEMISCE team left a comment, it's shown in the “Comment from the YEMISCE team” line.
Clients' accounts in the “My bookings” cabinet are not deleted — they are separate accounts. But bookings with your business disappear from their history once the business data is deleted.

Automatic deletion when access has ended

Even without a request, business data is deleted automatically if access to YEMISCE (trial, paid subscription or free access) ended and was not renewed for 3 months. The same data is deleted as after an approved request; financial documents are kept.
At least 14 days before that, an email titled “The data of “business name” on YEMISCE will be deleted” arrives at your account email, with the deletion date and a “Start a subscription” button. Nothing is deleted earlier than 14 days after that email. If you pay for a subscription (or get free access) before that date, all your data is kept. You can also download a copy before then — see Data export.

If something goes wrong

  • “Provide a reason (2+ characters).” — the “Reason for deletion” field is empty or too short.
  • “An active request has already been submitted.” — you already have a request under review. Wait for the decision.

FAQ

Can I withdraw my request? Yes, while it is “Pending”: click “Withdraw request” and confirm. See How to withdraw the request. Once the request has been approved, the button is no longer there.
My request was rejected. What now? You will get an email titled “Deletion request for “business name” rejected” with the team's comment. The “Deletion request submitted” block shows the status “Rejected”, and the explanation is in the “Comment from the YEMISCE team” line if the team left one. The business keeps working as usual. The form appears again below the block: to submit a new request, fill in “Reason for deletion” and click “Submit request”.
Can I just pause instead of deleting the business? Yes, but not indefinitely. If you don't subscribe or don't renew, access is paused and the data is kept for 3 more months. If access is not renewed during that time, the business data is deleted automatically (with a warning email at least 14 days before) — see Automatic deletion when access has ended. To temporarily stop online bookings, turn off “Accept online bookings” under “Settings” → “Booking”.
I'm a team member and only want to delete my own account. You don't need a request for that — see Deleting an account: clients and team members.
Why can't a business be deleted instantly, like a client account? A business holds its clients' data. Manual review and the retention period protect against accidental deletion and give you time to download your data.
